A local Sunshine Coast based
company engineered a 2,500m2 building using a conventional
Z purlin support system for a standard COLORBOND®
sheet roof. They then provided an alternative price
adopting the Ritek® roofing system. In completing
the re-design the result was a substantial saving in
the main structural frame of up to 10% due to the long

2. RITEK XL-ENCE IN
CONSTRUCTION

|
|
Construction of Caloundra’s
$85 million Rumba Resort development is now completed.
Setting the benchmark in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Resort Suites,
Penthouses and Ocean Apartments. The project took around
17 months to complete and the XL Wall system was the
perfect wall solution for this mixed use development.
The Ritek XL Wall System was used for the development’s
permanent formwork, party walls, facades, lift shafts,
stairwells, for the pool in between the buildings, for
the planter boxes and ballustrades.
The Bevaqua Group’s Michael Bevaqua said “The
main reason that we chose the Ritek XL Wall System was because
we wanted to try a new product that could reduce our
project’s build time. We also made significant
project savings in crane hire costs, removing
trades such as plasterers and decreasing the concrete
pour cycle time. I will definitely use this XL
Wall System again in future projects.”

The Kingaroy Crematorium
is a new state of the art facility located on the
outskirts of Kingaroy, Queensland.
Ritek supplied 1,670m2
of ecotek roof panels for the $3.4m Kingaroy Crematorium
facility. Ritek’s ecotek® Roof Panel comprises a Trimdeck
profile upper sheet, EPS insulation and a corrugated
bottom sheet.
The project builder was impressed with the roof system and recognised the significant savings through reduction in building components as well as removing trades usually associated with traditional roof truss construction.

5. RITEK IN CROC'S COUNTRY IN THE TOP END
 |
|
Ritek has recently completed a project in the Northern Territory. Our construction manager Ryan Browne, has recently returned from the
Tiwi Islands after supervising the construction of three (3) remote
residential dwellings utilizing the Ritek XL Wall
system. Ryan presented footballs to some of
the local Tiwi Island youth on behalf of Ritek’s
directors, management and staff. AFL is the most popular
sport on the Islands and the Tiwi footballers are
renowned for exquisite one touch skills.

Ritek is also proud to sponsor the Southern Districts
Crocs Football Club (AFL) in the Northern Territory.
Their war cry is “Don’t be the prey, become
a feared Croc!” Pictured in Croc colours are
(left to right) Ritek’s Alan Emblin (Ritek), Michael (Magic) McLean ex-Brisbane
Lions now Crocs coach and
and Craig Forsyth (Ritek).
