Hervey Bay has set a new benchmark in
the design and construction of luxury
apartments. Bellero Constructions completed
the $13.7 million Tingeera Apartments
utilising the eco-innovative Ritek®
Building Solutions products – 416m2
of Custom Roof Panel and 4,500m2 of the
XL Wall System.
Tingeera is a luxury beachfront complex
of 40 beautifully appointed two and three
bedroom apartments with magnificent sea
views to Fraser Island, private balconies,
large private rooftop entertainment areas
for the six penthouse apartments and a
large basement carpark. The excellent
architectural design features capitalise
on the enviable location.
This impressive six story ‘blue
chip’ property has provided excellent
returns to the perceptive investors ‘Pialba
Apartments’ due to the regions exceptional
economic growth and the choice of Ritek
Building Solution eco-innovative custom
roof panel and XL Wall Systems.

original design of the building was for
traditional block construction; however
the client expressed an interest in using
the innovative Ritek products. The benefits
of the Ritek products were so significant
that we used them in both the structural
and non structural elements throughout
the building.”
“The Ritek systems are really efficient
in their installation because they are
pre-fabricated to suit the building and
the building services can be installed
as the walls are erected. We saved 14
weeks on construction time which resulted
in huge dollar savings. Major savings
were also made in areas such as cranage
and scaffolding. Another tangible benefit
was having a clean site throughout construction
which meant a safer workplace.”
It is estimated that by choosing the Ritek
Custom Roof Panel and the XL Wall System
over traditional block wall systems, the

Estimated additional returns from rental
income due to early project finish, based
on 2 nights per weekend and 2 nights midweek
for 20 holiday apartments at the low peak
rate of $215 per night for 14 weeks afforded
an extra $240,800 rental income.
Overall project savings and earnings benefited
the group to the tune of some $500,000.
The environment was also a big winner
with 27m3 of block construction waste
saved from landfill.
The Ritek Custom Roof Panels design and
ease of installation were also a big winner
and like its sister product, saved considerable
cranage time and minimised material and
equipment use onsite.
Comparing building systems, Ritek®
to block construction, one pack of Ritek
wall panels replaces multiple pallets
of block, wheelbarrows, cement mixers,
the need for plasterboard and significantly
reduces crane time, material waste, excessive
scaffolding and water usage, basically
less project costs.
The Ritek® Custom Roof System can
be used in curved, multi-curved or flat
configurations, has high spanning and
cantilever capability, is suitable for
cyclone regions and has a Group 1 Fire
Rating. The Ritek® XL wall system
can be used for party walls, lift shafts,
structural walls and stairwells.
